B.C. is producing more and more top shelf rosé and one I look forward to each year is the pink from Fort Berens. The new vintage is 80% Pinot Noir, 16% Cabernet Franc and 4% Merlot. This is a rosé that’s notable for it’s pale pink colour, lovely nose and juicy taste. Modeled in the French style, it’s a dry, medium bodied wine loaded with flavours of freshly picked raspberries and a hint of watermelon. So you’ll notice more fruit on the palate than a rosé from Provence. This is consistently a summer favourite for me and I think once you taste it you’ll be adding this wine to your #drinkpink list too. I paired it with chicken skewers as recommended by the winery and loved every bite and sip.
